BITCOIN (BTC) watch your back, there's a new kid in town

As I'm writing this, Bitcoin has a market value of £128,031,024,655, that's one hundred and twenty-eight billion, thirty-one million and twenty-four thousand six hundred and fifty-five pounds at at this current time 1 BTC = £7,704, not bad considering it never actually existed in the first place. However, once the brain child of Satoshi Nakamoto, to create a form of currency that would be a completely decentralised and therefore anonymous via its use of the blockchain technology, it's worth knowing that every single transaction completed can be fully traced back to the users wallet and therefore them.

The other big contenders, Litecoin (LTC), Ripple (XRP) and Etherium ETH) have all followed suit and now with Litecoin releasing Litepay in a few days time, on or around the 26th February 2018, apart from the appearance of ATM's doling out crypto coins, it's now possible to have a prepaid visa credit cards with any of the above mentioned crypto currencies.

All this may explain why a little known alt coin called Monero (XMR) is quietly moving up through the ranks. Only surfacing in April 2014, in just under 4 years it now has a market value of more than £3.5b and this is probably due to it's incredibly simple but highly intelligent ring signature technology that keeps both the sender and receiver of it's transactions completely anonymous, untraceable and therefore private and un-hackable.

As a lover of all things crypto, simply because it's fun and interesting to trade within such volatile markets, I know which coin I'm going to be betting on.
